Florida citizens affected by foreclosure could have money from settlement

FLORIDA -- If you lost your home to foreclosure you may be eligible for payments as part of a national $25 billion settlement.

The Florida Attorney General's Office says borrowers eligible for the money are those who lost their homes between 2008 and 2011 and had mortgages serviced by Ally/GMAC, Bank of America, Citi, JP Morgan Chase or Wells Fargo.

The deadline to file a claim is Friday. So far, just under half of those who qualify have signed up.
